That just means that they changed some jokes to use the western equivalent is all...Disgaea did it, Trinity Universe did it, heck, even Cross Edge and Neptunia did it to an extent, it's nothing new for them

In regards to censoring, not that lol. They always do that.

"Appeal to the western audience" is an euphemism for "We wouldn't be able to bring the game over if we kept it completely intact, so we had to edit it" which is true. I'm sure NISA will try their best to edit the least amount of things possible to make the game acceptable for North America.

Also, edit =/= censoring.

Does anyone remember the Dance in the Vampire Bund controversy with Funimation? :lol:

I love how everyone is like "yeah okay whatever" to Mugen Souls getting censored, but the minute Funi dropped that word, the whole anime fandom went ballistic :lol: (and a lot of people didn't even care about the anime, just the "censoring" part.) They later opted to release Bund unedited. Wow.

You don't go to GameFAQs do you? People were shouting "Boycott!" the 2nd NISA announced that they had to edit some things

Well that's because they had actually sold lolicon hentai and loli eroge here before that had released, so it'd be pretty hard to convince people that it couldn't be released unedited as long as it got the proper rating.

GFAQs is pretty much the bottom of the barrel if news isn't being discussed. Like... as someone who goes to GFAQs fairly often myself, 98% of the users there either are, or act like morons.

Spoiler:
I am the 2% ;w;

Yeah, I've noticed that, heck, it's one of the reasons I look at the forums, some of the people are so ignorant that it's hilarious...

@vampko - exactly, if it got the proper rating, which is 18+, but with kids talking their parents into buying em M games, the ESRB would give it an AO, they're odd like that :P

I don't know. They did totally butcher the Map Editor in D4. I mean... I know Sony told them to but... sometimes I think NISA is kind of spineless. I mean, it'd be very easy for Sony or someone else to seriously push them around if they wanted to.

Fact: Sony CAN stop a game from coming, at least we had the editor mode...anyways, in all seriousness, we don't really need to go over this again :/

Indeed, they only had to hamstring the map editor because you can't have that kind of user-created content unmoderated, and NISA can't afford to oversee all the creations people make.

As it would constantly cost money to moderate it, and NISA isn't large enough to spend money on something which doesn't actually earn them anything back.
