One such title is Dragon’s Dogma, where the decision to include some additional (but not all planned additional) game content for the game on disc was made at the beginning of the game’s development cycle as at the time this was determined to be the most efficient way of ensuring certain content was made available. Owners of Dragon’s Dogma will be able to further their gameplay experience with the release of additional quests, weapons and other items in the months following the game going on sale.

But seriously, I'm not letting Capcom's bullshit hinder a game that otherwise looks just like the sort of thing I've always been waiting for, so I'll let my Capcom overlords make me their plaything, only this time. Just like a wife does unsightly things just to keep a marriage working. If I don't, they'll be all like "DIRTY WHITE PIGGU BAKA GAIJIN DO NOT WANT GEIMU RIKE DORAGONZU DOGUMA, RET US GO MIRUKU MORE MONSUTA HANTA AND SUTORITO FAITA".

Chances are they'll think that anyways, but hell, I wanna play this nonetheless.

They have seemed to backed down from on-disc DLC, as they've recently said they're not doing anymore.
So I think the message has already been sent, received and replied to.

To be honest, the 2000 Rift crystals, since the armor/weapon packs only give you items a little stronger than the basic stuff

Although you can earn rift crystals normally anyway, so really it's just a slight headstart.
