Pardon the late reply, but the same could've been done with the band; as in, the band agrees to let NIS Japan and America to use the name for the main char., while, in turn, use the game itself as DLC haven for the band, while hearing shout outs like:

--"Say your prayers, little one!"
--"I dub thee...'Unforgiven'"
--"...that never from this day, his will be taken away"
--"New blood joins this Earth..."
--"Hey hey hey! Here I go now!"
--"Justice For All!"

Really, I can go on and on, since I'm a Metallica, yes, the band, fan and three of my fave songs from the band are: Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, No Leaf Clover, I Disappear, The Unforgiven... to name a few.

To NIS' advantage, the band is no longer with Warner Bros./Warner Music Group, while taking their master track list with them.

Seeing how Ar tonelico chars. are hinted into showing up in the upcoming US version, at the very least, how did NIS Japan get the blessings from Namco Bandai?
