Yeah, some of them have shields. They have a butt-ton of health and do an unfair amount of damage. Plus they can block physical attacks or be completely undeterred from them.

Did I mention enemies like attacking you when you're knocked down? ...Yeah.

Looks like Capcom made some nice AI...then again, the combat/AI was made by the same people that made Devil May Cry...and on the higher difficulties, the enemies could be VERY unforgiving

Yeah the AI is pretty nice. Sometimes your teammates will do stupid stuff, but they generally do exactly what they were designed to do, which includes their mannerisms in combat and out in the field.

I've never played that, but cowering teammates sounds ridiculous xD

No, your pawns in Dragon's Dogma serve you without question. They've got serious balls.

I haven't seen that happen... yet. Though as an experiment I have grabbed and thrown my pawns off a cliff just to see what would happen. Yeah, they disappear until you visit a riftstone. If you're in the middle of a dungeon, you're screwed xD

I'm around level 19 now, with about 8000 RC. Main Pawn rated 5/5 in all categories.

... does killing a cyclopes at level 15 when in the full black of midnight count as good? and getting ambushed by a group of harpies while I'm at it?
I found that whole situation just awesome.

I even took a picture just to post here... although my sis is playing. So, I'll have to retrieve it later.

Awesome! I was just having a blast finishing off a very intense quest. I am level 20 now and got some very expensive (and upgraded) threads for me and my main pawn. 8-)

Omgsh, people really seem to love my pawn. When I put the game in when I got home from the graduation ceremony, I found that ten people were using him and pretty much all rated him 5/5 in every category.
