an item's online stock

I am planning on getting an disgaea 3 from the online store but I want to wait and get it when I have some money to spare. If an item is out of stock will it eventually get more copies of the item for sale or is it sold out for good? I want to know as I am trying to make a careful decision.

I think in most cases, it will be gone for good unless it's a title that really needs more copies. So like with the PS3 version of Disgaea 3, it might be gone for good once that sells out, but the Vita version might still be ok(but i'm not going to guarantee it will be but just saying it will have a higher chance of being available). But it's better to be safe than sorry right?
