I figured from the beginning that he was forced by others to do this. And I figured that a violent act did happen.

With that mystery out of the way, I wonder what's next?

From what I've read, there are 4 novels of Hyouka and a fifth is already planned, so the other episodes will most likely cover the other 3 novels.

Interesting, I never really thought of a/d that way. I guess it's fairly plausible. I am now to the point where I realize there will never be a 'serious' mystery, so I've put this under slice of life (with a pinch of mystery), and will now enjoy it as such ~

I liked the first half, found it quite funny. The mystery was not as great though, but overall it was a good episode IMHO

Considering they have no guests, this was a bit odd to be honest, because there were only supposed to be the two sisters and the parents >.>

LOL at Oreki fainting at the thought of Chitanda bathing, not even the sight She seemed pretty disappointed it wasn't mixed xD

Also, Oreki's right in that Siblings quarrel a lot, but that's just a sign of being close most of the time. Everyone has their quirks and whatnot.

All in all, loving this show ~

Episode 8: Now this is the kind of mystery I can get behind. It feels very appropriate for the setting, particularly following the first case. I'm also interested to hear Oreki's thoughts on Irisu and her behavior, since there seemed to be a lot of suspicious glances between the two of them.

Today I put two and two together and figured out that Oreki, Houtoro is a direct descendant of Victorique de Blois.

Anyway, loved episode 8. Finally the second book's arc has begun, I have to say I didn't enjoy episode 6 and 7 as much.
