Doubt NISA has the money to do a limited release of a game (they ain't Square Enix)

NISA has done limited releases before. Like look at Ar tonelico III and Hyperdimension Neptunia 1 used to be a limited release. Plus not many companies are supplied with NISA games anyways because of them being niche for most stores which is why it's like Gamestop, Amazon, and maybe a few other places besides the NISA store carry them.

Limited releases do vary since well the company who localizes it wants to at least break even on the localization cost(but of course making some money off of it as well doesn't hurt either). But it seems to me that sometimes companies go with the limited edition only routes and then see if there's a market for a standard release(which was why Hyperdimension Neptunia no longer became a game that was a limited release).

But it's hard to really know exactly how many copies they should make for each game(or at least I would think so) since it depends on how well it's selling.

I wouldn't mind a limited release of this game. It's indeed possible, since they have had a couple of games that were limited release (like mentioned above, AR Tonelico Qoga and Hyperdimension Neptunia)

Plus as I am aware from what I looked up, the only mention of a patch I find is for the PC version of the game and I see no mention of a PS3 translation. What I did see though, is that people were being told to swap the PC sprites of the characters out for the PS3 version, and that's supposed to suffice for not being able to own the PS3 version.

Limited release, yes, but expected to sell. *Coughs* That aside, is there any real reason to bring the PS3 version when the PC version is available and, apparently, approved of by the creator?

I think a few people have posted why before... Here's what I saw.

- People who don't use their PC for 'gaming' at all.
- there are a lot of people who would much rather enjoy something on their PS3 than PC

Here's other reason I can actually pull out of my head

- The lack of information what to actually buy the PC version of the game
- lack of understanding how to download the game
- The lack of understanding how to patch a game to the language
- this lack of understanding can cause the person to mess up their computer
- What kind of translations are these? Fan? From most games I have played that are fan patches, few fan patches are completely okay for a person to just pick up, put in, and everything is fine and dandy. Most I have seen have messed up the programing of the game itself. This causes problems such as and not limited to- badly wrapped the words, weird text, some paths not being available due to crashing, some things not being even translated at all due to the game crashing, things you can accidentally do to cause the game to mess up, having to save a specific locations because if you don't the game will never load, etc. Granted there are a good amount of games that do things fine but I've always usually see some sort of problem with fan translation patches.

Not every single gamer knows how to easily maneuver into their computer to ensure that a game with a most likely fan patch, doesn't go crashing or even messing up their computer.

I would say convince is a good reason to bring the PS3 version over.

PC mod version is not supported by the creator. The only patch that is is the English patch.

That was so other companies could use it for localization if they had the gall to not check it themselves right?

No, the patch creators offered the translation to any company willing to publish the PS3 game in English.

Has nothing to do with the approval of the patch by the game's creator.

Did they really? That's strange, they should know that they're not allowed to do that unless they have approval from the game creator.

They obviously would, given that any publisher would need to get approval and license for translation, publishing, and distribution in the first place.

Not sure how I feel about this. NISA, I hope you realize that giving us a complete bastardization of an anime isn't going to stop us from asking over and over again for this.

...I'll still probably buy it. But only to support Ryu07. And to show demand for the VN, even if it's not to you.

Yeah, that anime is really terrible, as expected of a DEEN adaptation, and not even complete, adapting only half of the story. I'll still buy it, though, and hope everyone else does too, because if the anime doesn't sell well then that'll be the final nail in the coffin of hopes for the VN.

So, everyone, buy this anime. Just don't watch it!

I've watched and played the first 4 episodes. I'll buy the anime from NISA, but it's not that awful. Nice that someone is really doing it.

I really hope the anime gets great sales and they consider localizing the games also maybe localizing the Kai anime.
