What level is good enough to beat the Twilight Maiden? Also, where's a good place to level grind for a level 35ish party? :P

Hi, Homm F here.
I have the Atelier Meruru models.

Some of the main characters have huge cheeks that you can remove, but they're a pain. The Ar Tonelico Qoga 3D models are even worse, their textures are so terribly broken.

I think you hit the nail right on the head there.

It struck me very much as the Madden 2013 of Atelier: technical improvements and that's it. I can see why people enjoy it, and it is better than Totori where mechanics are concerned. But there's nothing to tie the game together. It's also grown stale.

I'm aiding a spoiled princess in . . . doing what exactly? Developing her land? I would never praise the story in any Arland games (or Atelier for that matter), but it's teetering on non-existent in Meruru. That and—while I adore Totori—the number of returning characters didn't help. I scarcely felt they had any advancement; perhaps because there weren't "routes" involved (those unmentionables notwithstanding).

I don't think it's bad by any means. I was just disappointed. There are few games I ever have expectations for. Gust games populate the short list.

Oh, and the time restrictions. Jeez. Far worse in this game than Rorona, Totori or Annie. So much that I couldn't enjoy it.

Also the nail-bludgeoning.

I kinda agree with you and the gamers reviews, but that's because they decide to make a game without actual conflict(no antagonist, no actual plot), since its suppose to be lighthearted. There just trying to set them apart from other games that rely on those concepts. If only they could delve into the no antagonist concept a little deeper, it would've made the story more interesting.
I don't really see the problem with the time restrictions; you don't have deadlines when you do quests; only development projects. And its only difficult if you don't manage your time efficiently (in my case, I sometimes think up plans to progress). And it gets much easier once you start a new game plus.

If there was another Atelier game(not including Ayesha), I prefer if the time management was set in hours, instead of days. Which means that creating items will consume hours, not days, then things would make things more interesting, but that's just my wishful thinking.

My thoughts exactly...that and in a way I think they made all the Rorona characters absolutely insane in different degrees and levels (save Gio), with the Totori characters starting to make a lean towards insanity...LOL

Maybe insanity was the antagonist...

But I didn't have really any issues with the time issues, especially in the new game plus. I did however find it a pain to raise friendship levels in travelling though and was often stuck with characters I wanted to get rid of...LOL

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but. I heard that Rainbow Power and Time Spirit stack, but I've also heard that they don't... Have anyone ever done tests to see if they stack or not ?

@Chronos: Evidently I just suck at time management in Meruru. I didn't feel compelled to make a new game plus this time around (chiefly due to my not being impressed with the first romp), but I don't think that's the issue. Mayhap it was due—at least marginally—to the whole wayward nature of the game. Without direction I found myself floundering from one goal to the other until I finally, and futilely, marched east. I vanquished the beast there with only a week or two to spare.

@The two of you: Given the forum's history inane fandom, I am certainly surprised that my level explanation of why I was disappointed wasn't greeted with "U R A FAG, MARIO!" Though that could be because I'm not on the Neptunia board.

Or the right people no longer read this thread.

@KarisSelmon7891: Well, conflict is the crux of storytelling. The characters can be as redeeming as they want, but there needs to be some active conflict. Whether that should be delivered between characters or through narrative (or both) is arguable, though scrawlers of these things tend to side with both. If Meruru fails to become an alchemist she goes back to . . . being a noblewoman in a suzerainty (or were they being assimilated?) ruled by Arland. Arland, whose king is her loving uncle. I don't think she has much to worry about aside from impressing upon her father the importance of alchemy.

Not really meant as a counter to anything you said, just stringing the conversation along.

@Mlada: Insanity should be the protagonist! It's what makes things cock-a-hoop interesting!

While that isn't a Meruru issue at all . . . Jesus. I have no reason to buy DLC characters when I won't really be using them due to the necessity of dragging characters I don't care for along.

Nevermind that, I had a split save and just tested, they stack.
