The game is an Idea Factory game, so wouldn't that make all original character belonging to Idea Factory?

depends maybe NIS and GUST "contributed at least each one character Recit and and Miyu so i would think
NIS: Prinny ,Etna, Flonne Miyu
GUST: Vio , Pamela and Recit
And the rest to Idea Factory
but at least we can just guess at least im confused in Cross edge you had of every comapny chars
a few examples Capcom(Lilith....), Nippon Ichi(Etna...), Namco Bandai/Gust(Shurelia...) and Idea Factory(Meu , Zelos)


so here i cant find a origin char out of a game from Idea Factory.....
even if 3 companies work together on one game i rather would say all new invented chars beling to all who contributed

cause even wiki counts all the companies Idea Factory , NIS and Gust as developers
even you cant say the japanese publisher is the main developer , just look at Cross edge ^^

Hmm, well it would be cool to see some of the characters appear in future games, either by Gust, NIS, or IF. Especially Tsubaki, Rizelea, and Lucius!

I take this to mean Rizelia belongs to Gust and Kanata to NIS

and by association their "side-kicks" to also belong to that same company, thus Lucious to Gust and Tsubaki to NIS.

Well you see the connection with x just means there are together in story and/or in the game in any way

well since in all games it just indicates that characters of a game or a series of games are appearing there
nothing more

like game namco x capcom just means that charatcers of both sides are together in one game
iin you way it would mean there are together and namco own capcom or capcom own namco XD

With=with as in belongs to AKA from for example the sentence (I am with the Army) does not mean I am friends with the army or a guest to them but part of them. It is a very versatile word and the structure of the sentence denotes its specific meaning.

means the same thing as

Valkyrie from Gust vs Demon Dog King from NIS

the phrase "to be with somebody" simple can mean "to be together with somebody"

since if you look trailers they allways say "with character Y FROM game Z"

It just says Valkyrie with CROSSOVER characters of GUST

since you call games which contains characters of different games CROSSOVER games
because all the different chars cross each other...so they meat each other
so people say Cross Edge by Idea Factory X Nippon Ichi x Gust .........
But Idea factory doesnt own Nippin Ichi neither owns Nippon Ichi, Idea Factory

so you can say "valkyrie in association with GUST" which means just together with kay

Still makes it sound like either Valkyrie belongs to Gust and is with other characters or means Valkyrie belongs to NIS and is with Gust characters.

You are with your friends, means you are part of the same group

so insert "you with your friends"
vs
"some one else with their friends"

and you still have Group A vs Group B with the two teams highlighting the leader of their team.

Besides their is an easier way around this, why don't we just ASK Nis or Gust who they belong too, or just look up which team designed who, and thus owns them.

I just now turned the game on, I'm in chapter 8, looked at the "events" and it looks like Miyu is now joining my team.
