It does look sort of like Snake, but doesn't play anything like it. The chain of DNA following you function similar to the rings from Sonic games, if you get hit they go flying everywhere. Depending on the game mode, you have different objectives, but the website's explanation is probably better than anything I could give. If you guys think we need more gameplay footage or information, let me know and I'll pass that on to mejaggie. You can also private message her on the forums.
