PS3?!?!
A definite Day 1 buy for me. Really wish this game gets localized, or else I'll be forced to import.

When the Seagulls Cry > When They Cry 3.........ORL
Better yet, keep it the original Japanese title.

That's the right way to think! I hope this, and many other great games come out during the PS3's life time! Let's make the PS3's game library blow the PS2's out of the water!

Seriously. That's what I heard from two different forums, anyhow. They probably say something about it on the official Alchemist website. I should track it down and link it here. :3Daverost wrote:SergeantBooduce wrote:And I heard somewhere that all pre-orders come with red and blue pens of truth. >o>!
...Seriously? XD

You know that's impossible, although I would like a little more variety.

A company, not necessarily NISA but any one in particular, would have to buy the translation script from Witch-Hunt much like how XSEED bought the Ys Felghana English patch. Ryukishi07 is already aware of Witch-Hunt's English translation patches and seems to be fine with them.
Umineko is possibly one of the most recognized visual novels in the western fanbase, and although the transition to PS3 is weird and confusing--since most visual novels are for 360--a lot of visual novel fans tend to have PS3s over 360s.
In short, NISA would have to buy the translation off Witch-Hunt, Ryukishi07 would have to approve of the localization as well, since... well, he created the games. Apparently Alchemist have no English division for their releases, so they wouldn't be a problem.
