I figured id ask a couple queestions here
1) How do the replacement disks come? Do you just fill out the form and they send you the disks? So you have to mess with mailing the old ones back or anything? I saw a lot of posts about people who got no email or info from NIS to confirm their replacment was on the way.
2) to those who got the replacement disks. Do they look good? is the ghosting/interlacing gone?
3) can you get replacment disks if you buy them elsewhere? The shippings absurd at this site. I was gonna buy volume 1 at Rightstuf since its both cheaper, AND shipping is free, vs 13 bucks! Id imagine they would honor it regardless of where you bought it right? Can someone link the replacment order form page if it still exists?
4)If i have to get it on the site. Anyone know if the one listed here already has the working disks? I notice theres one thats 'sold out' and one thats in stock now. I really dont think i will though, as shipping for both will be a joke
hopefuly someone can clear that up for me. I may go ahead and snag them from rightstuf if the replacments are out and working right
1. Just fill out the form and then just wait for them to show up in the mail. You can even keep the problem discs since there's no sending them in or anything like that. I got an email but only after I received them.
2. Ghosting issue and any other problem is gone on the replacement discs(since that's kind of the point in getting them in the 1st place). I even paused the scenes I noticed the ghosting issue on the 1st press release of volume 1 of Toradora the most and didn't see it in the replacement discs when pausing it on the same scenes.
3. Here's the form
http://nisamerica.com/anime/anime_replace.php and as it mentions it asks for where you bought it from, so assuming that means they don't care that you didn't buy it from their store, but however these dvds might be on sale this week with the sale that the NIS America store has going on so it may actually be cheaper on the NISA Store even with shipping costs depending on how much the sale price is going for or maybe it might even be the same price.
4. Most likely the only ones available should be the replacement discs put into the volumes no matter where you buy it from. If for some chance either NISA's store or Rightstuf give you the ghosting issue discs for volumes 1 of either or both Toradora and Persona, just fill out that form with the UPC code, and your address and you're done.
