Totally dropped the ball

Man it's too late to really complain as I'm sure it's been well over a year or so but way to make 2F of Puragatory so draining that I no longer care about the game. The level design is so fucking awful, unfair, and plain out not fun. Make it and kill the white golemn, then find out I need to run through that hellish hallway, and by the time I get to the other side I have a immortal, skeleton, a ghost, a archer, fire everywhere, totems shooting at me, that giant knight, and more bearing down on me. How the hell did this get past play testing? WAS There playtesting?

Edit: Managed to get to 4 after getting a headache, no this wasn't playtested. You totally fucked up and you lost a sale on that ps3 version because I have 0 faith that the level designers are competent at all. This isn't a challenge, this isn't fun. Purgatory is some of the worst level design I've seen in a game in a long, LONG time.

There is some solace in knowing that some level/game designers on certain days like to be sadistic, not specifically to just you, but everyone in general. Believe me, I have had the "head-meets-wall" moments playing a lot of games, but there are some levels that aren't about fun or challenge. I am right there with you.

Hey, at least Purgatory occurs AFTER the main credits roll. Yes, it is the TRUE final dungeon set (I assume, I haven't cleared 2F yet), but you at least get a small feeling of accomplishment after beating the "Death Glutton." I can't seem to beat one of the late levels in ClaDun 1 (the one with all the fire, wizard guys and Octorock-lookin' guys), so I haven't finished the first one, yet. After all this time. It makes me kind of sad. But it's Nippon Ichi, brutality is their way of life. They enjoy making their players cry, and I love that fact.
