Hello everyone,

We have received many letters and emails from our fans about bringing Mana Khemia to North America. We thank those who sent us your interests, love, and passion about Mana Khemia! We are very happy to announce to you all that Mana Khemia will be released in March 2008!

Here is a summary of Mana Khemia. Check it out!

Story

A mysterious, young man named Vayne Aurelius lived in a forest with his buddy, Sulpher the cat. They lived quietly, by themselves until one day, a man came to visit them, and their peaceful, quiet life came to an end. The man was a professor at a notable alchemy school called Al-Revis Academy. Now, Vayne's new adventures as an alchemist, and his search for who he really is, has begun...

What's new?

Although Mana Khemia is a successor of the Atelier Iris series, anybody who enjoys RPG will have many satisfying hours playing Mana Khemia. So, don't be shy to pick up this game even if you've never played the Atelier Iris series.

The developer has been working on Alchemy RPGs for about 10 years, and Mana Khemia could be their most elaborate game. They fully utilized their knowledge of alchemy and RPG in this game. You can expect to see over the top battle sequences and innovative systems, like the "Grow Book."

Mana Khemia takes place in an alchemy school called Al-Revis Academy. This school was based on real schools in Japan. By playing this game, you will learn how Japanese schools have different events throughout the school year, like marathon competitions, horror trails, etc... Though, "real" Japanese schools don't make students fight monsters... At least, we hope not. Nevertheless, you will go through all the school curricula with Vayne. If you don't try hard enough, you could fail your course, so do your best, and enjoy the alchemical school life!

The screenshots shown on the right side are from the Japanese version, but the top one shows what your weekly schedule is like. If you pass all your classes, you will have free time to get a part-time job (you can buy more items with the money you make), to get to know your classmates better, to study more about alchemy, and more. BUT, if you fail your classes... you will have to make up for the class by doing extra classes.

Battle system

Mana Khemia is a turn based RPG, modifying the Active Cost Card Battle System to include a character switching element that allows you to combine attacks with other characters, which can create devastating damage to your enemy! You can also recover your SP while waiting to switch back in to battle, reducing your dependence on restorative items.

Mana Khemia also boasts dramatic effects during battle sequences.
